Family Eye Exams

Annual eye examinations are important for every age group. As the body ages, so do the eyes. Eye diseases often go undetected when yearly eye exams are not performed. Early detection is the only prevention. It is recommended that children have their first exam before they start preschool. It is proven that better vision is linked to better grades. Our patients are the most important part of our practice, and because we feel that eye exams are so important, we will send a yearly reminder when it is time for your next exam.

A comprehensive vision exam is more important than you may know. Having a yearly exam can detect more than just whether or not you need glasses. Routine exams are important in the detection and treatment of diseases such as glaucoma, diabetes, cataracts, hypertension, macular degeneration and many others. Your exam will provide a thorough evaluation of the vision and retinal health, along with all other necessary test.

Awareness and prevention are the keys to help save your vision. If you or someone you care about does not have a current eye examination, NOW is the time. Our physicians and staff are dedicated to helping you maintain and enhance your quality of vision. Our physicians and staff are dedicated to help you keep the quality of your vision and enhancing your quality of vision. Wilson Eye Center brings sight to life.

Child's First Exam

A child's first vision exam should be scheduled before they enter pre-school, normally around the age of 3. If there is a family history of strabismus or lazy eye earlier exams are recommended.

Did You Know: Only 30% of school-aged children between the ages of 5-16 have had an eye exam. That means that over 70% of school aged children have NOT had an eye exam. It is a proven fact that poor vision will negatively affect a child's schoolwork.

Your child's vision needs should not go unattended. Unlike most medical problems a child will not normally complain a visual problem.
